Refrigerants

Refrigerants and there disposal is probably one example of how international will power can effect change very quickly. Under the Montreal Protocol 1987 and subsequent amendments it is now illegal to sell CFC's in the UK and HCFC's will be banned by 2000.

All these gases are disposed of by incineration to remove them from circulation.
