Other groups involved in recycling
Opticians - Many opticians will accept old spectacles for reuse in
developing countries.
Chemists - Many chemists or pharmacists will accept old medicine bottles
and jars for reuse or recycling and will dispose of medicines carefully.
Charity shops - These accept a range of household goods such as books,
clothes stamps and foil for reuse or recycling.
Nappy laundering services - Consider "real" nappies as an
alternative to disposables. Contact the National Association of Nappy Services (Nans) on
0121 693 4949.
