The Pompey recycling
Scheme Almost all 85,000 households in Portsmouth can
recycle from home by taking part in the Pompey Recycling Scheme. Paper,
card, plastic bottles and cans are collected from most households every
fortnight. Residents can choose whether they want to store their recycling
in a wheelie bin or green box. Most blocks of flats in the city have communal
recycling bins. If you live in Portsmouth and want to know more about
recycling in the area visit the Portsmouth
City Council website or call the City Help Desk on 023 9283 4092
Compost
bins are available to residents in the city for a reduced charge. Ring
the compost bin suppliers Blackwall on 0870 16460147 to order, or contact Portsmouth City Council Waste
Management for more details.
