Tesco Supports Buy Recycled Campaign

Major retailers, like Tesco in Andover, have been supporting the "Buy Recycled" message in Test Valley by providing an in-store display of their recycled materials.

Last week, local shoppers got an opportunity to see and compare the quality of recycled products in the Andover store. Clare Saunders, Waste Management Officer for Test Valley Borough Council and Angela Bethell, Waste Promotions Officer for Hampshire County Council were on hand to answer customers' questions.

Mr Osgood, Tesco Store Manager, says: "Recycling will reduce the amount of waste going to landfill and save resources, while buying recycled goods will help stimulate markets for recycled materials and keep the price of recycled goods down."

Recycled products on display included: paper products such as tissues, kitchen towels and toilet paper and plastic products such as refuse sacks.
