Call to recycle old Yellow Pages

Recycle all your old Yellow Pages. That’s the challenge Hart District Council and British Telecom are making to Hart residents as new Yellow Pages are delivered to people’s doorsteps.

Hart District Council are asking residents to put their old Yellow Pages in the brown cardboard banks. Special stickers on all the cardboard banks in the district to let local residents know that they can recycle their Yellow Pages in them.

"There are fourteen cardboard banks in the Hart area where residents can take their Yellow Pages for recycling. We are working closely with BT’s Directory Recycling Project in the run up to the deliveries to ensure that we are not caught out by the deliveries of the new Yellow Pages." said Stuart Robbens, Recycling Officer for Hart council.

Jim Gallagher, Distribution and Delivery Manager at BT, is pleased to support the council’s recycling efforts. "This month the new Yellow Pages are being delivered to more than 30,000 homes across the district. The local authority has an excellent collection scheme to enable local residents to recycle old directories".

Residents outside Hart who would like to know where they can recycle their old directories can ring the Directory Recycling Project free on 0800 783 1592 to find out where to recycle their old telephone directories.
