Getting revved up by recycling

Thanks to Hampshire's trail blazing War on Waste campaign, one lucky Hampshire man has been given the opportunity of a lifetime; racing Ferraris for the day on a private test track.  Ian Bezant from Millbrook won the prize thanks to his knowledge of Project Integra's War on Waste campaign, following a competition in his local newspaper.

Waste Promotions Officer Angela Bethell said: "The competition was a resounding success!  We had an excellent response, possibly to do with the fantastic prize.   We designed a competition that would be great fun but also carry an important message.

"The War on Waste has been raging across the county for around two years now and has been making a big impact.  Through a wide variety of initiatives like this, we've communicated our "Reduce, Reuse and Recycle" message to many households in Hampshire."

Car mad 43 year old Ian Bezant was overjoyed with the prize.  He said: "I entered never expecting to win, but it's a dream come true for me.  The Ferrari I drove was very different from the white Citroen van I drive for work.  I have always been fascinated with cars, and the whole day was great fun."

The prize was offered by leading gift and events company tangerine gift inspiration.   The company were one of the first to offer the thrilling "Ferrari Experience".  Ian's consisted of a full briefing by a skilled driver in a "Hot Hatch" before moving on to the more powerful Ferraris with a choice of two, either a Testarossa or a Ferrari Mondial, or both.
