Up to 95% of households now have a kerbside collection of recyclables such as newspapers, magazines, plastic bottles, and food and drinks cans. The HWRCs can take things like green garden waste, glass, textiles and bulky waste. Please visit the Hampshire County Council website for more information on waste acceptance at HWRCs.
There are 26 Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) and over 1,600 recycling banks provided for the people of Hampshire to recycle/dispose of their household waste.
The District and City Councils, as Waste Collection Authorities, are responsible for providing sites where people can take their recyclable waste, or arranging for separate collections from the house.
